Contract | 26 Weeks | Days | 36 hrs/week | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate admission orders for patients entering the Admissions Pending Unit (APU), targeting a length of stay of 4 hours or less
• Complete the admission navigator and document the initial admission assessment in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage cardiac and anticoagulant drips (e.g., Cardizem, Heparin) as part of patient care
• Work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, high-volume acute care environment
• Support rapid patient throughput and progression through the admission process
• Float to other units as required; holiday availability required as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas state license or multistate compact RN license — no pending licenses accepted; no exceptions
• BLS certification through AHA required
• ACLS certification through AHA required
• All required licensure and certifications must be submitted at time of application — no pending credentials will be accepted
• No disciplinary actions or hits on license — no exceptions
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a short-term acute care or high-acuity environment managing a wide variety of patient diagnoses
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Strong time management, clinical judgment, and ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, high-volume setting
• Experience managing cardiac and anticoagulant drips
