    Job Title: Registered Nurse I Profession: Nurse Specialty: Registered Duration: Permanent Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Up to six (6) months related experience License: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License Certifications: None required Must-Have: - Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner - Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data Description: The Registered Nurse I assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizes the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating patient functional status. Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients. Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for patient age and cultural factors. Documents steps of the nursing process. Utilizes proper medical terminology. Addresses problems and progress toward goals. Facilitates patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities. Attends in-services and meets unit education standards. Completes variance reports as needed. Required to use independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives. Coordinates activities of others without supervision. Leads others in the same work performed without supervisory responsibilities. Provides input on performance evaluations without preparing or giving them. Works directly with patients and customers. Interacts with internal customers via telephone or face-to-face. Engages with external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff. Frequently interacts with individuals at the Director level or above.
