Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical floor serving an adult population with diagnoses including sepsis, pneumonia, heart failure, renal failure, and post-operative conditions (back, joint, and general surgeries)
Manage a patient assignment of 4–6 patients per shift within a 32-bed unit with a typical census of 10–20 patients
Operate and monitor patients using Baxter IV pumps and GE monitoring equipment
Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records
Rotate into every third weekend as part of standard scheduling expectations
Float as a sitter to the Senior Behavioral Health Unit or ICU on a rare, as-needed basis
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Current BLS certification
Proficiency with Meditech EHR
Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) including rotating weekends
Flexible, team-oriented approach to patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification
Experience with post-surgical patient populations
Familiarity with Baxter IV pumps and GE monitoring equipment
