Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced 40-bed inpatient post-surgical care unit
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients during day/evening shifts and up to 5–7 patients on nights, prioritizing care based on acuity
• Support a unit averaging 10–15 admissions per day with an occupancy rate of 90–95% during the week and an average length of stay of 2–3 days
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Accurately document patient care and administer medications using Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong multitasking and prioritization skills

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical care following PACU recovery
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and Rovers medication scanning technology
• Experience caring for geriatric and joint replacement patient populations
