Contract | 8-Week Assignment | Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit, caring for adult patients only — traveler nurses do not take pediatric patients
• Manage a diverse adult patient population with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–7 on night shifts, adapting to census fluctuations as needed
• Float to all inpatient units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Adhere to facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS Certification — American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary and ancillary staff
• Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage change positively throughout a shift
• Strong communication skills with a willingness to ask questions and prioritize the best possible patient experience
