Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Contract | Days | Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patients for responses and adverse reactions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a qualifying compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including every other weekend and every other holiday
• Willingness to commit to a 6-month contract assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical nursing setting
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
