Deliver primary nursing care to patients on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with an Oncology and General Surgery focus
Administer chemotherapy in accordance with unit policy; chemo administration is restricted to chemo-certified nurses only
Monitor and document vital signs per unit protocol, including every 8 hours for standard patients and every 4 hours for remote telemetry patients
Collaborate within a team-based care model alongside charge nurses, fellow RNs, and administrative care technicians
Utilize the Meditech EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Communicate with the interdisciplinary care team using an iPhone-based nursing communication system
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Medical/Surgical experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
Chemotherapy certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Experience working on a remote telemetry unit
