Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 6:1 or 7:1 across a 22-bed unit
• Utilize telemetry equipment and document within the MEDITECH EHR system
• Float as a second nurse to Telemetry and the Emergency Department as needed
• Work every other weekend as part of the expected schedule
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including surgical cases, peritoneal dialysis exchanges, and psychiatric presentations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Ability to accommodate scheduling needs as determined by the facility
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with the MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Background in Medical Surgical nursing in an acute care environment
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Collaborative, team-oriented, and family-focused approach to patient care
