Contract: 14 weeks

Schedule: 3x12 Nights. every other weekend

Requirements:  2 years of RN - MICU experience

-Float to ICUs and Acute care as needed. -T1 and travel experience required.
-Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). -American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent. -AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent is required.

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for adult patients in an inpatient environment. This role requires clinical competence in managing critical care patients and the ability to float to other ICUs, step-down units, or acute care units as needed. The RN will adhere to the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in nursing.
• Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent.
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or equivalent.
• Clinical competence and experience in critical care, including MICU and trauma Level 1 environments.
• Recent travel RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Experience with EPIC systems.
• Critical care float experience.

Additional Information:

• Tele Testing required during the first week (two attempts to pass).
• Navy scrubs required.
• Every other weekend work schedule; no call required.
