Description:
2 years of experience required.
First-time travelers are not accepted.
Floating may be required to NICU or L&D.
Weekends required to meet staffing needs.
Unit information includes postpartum care for vaginal or cesarean delivery, tubal ligation, and circumcision.
Care includes GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery.
Required skills include blood and blood products administration, managing drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps.
Experience with wound vacs, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate is necessary.
Knowledge in OB-GYN, post-operative care, and postpartum readmission is essential.
Newborn care expertise includes thermoregulation and glucose management.
Skills in postpartum discharge teaching, infant identification, newborn assessment, and phototherapy are required.
Proficiency in managing postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension is needed.
Experience with vaginal delivery and cesarean section is a must.
The unit consists of 16 beds, caring for adolescents, infants, and adults.
Interdisciplinary support is provided for various patient diagnoses.
Daily census and number of visits may vary.
Special procedures and equipment include GYN surgeries and couplet care.
References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required during the compliance process.
Modules are completed pre-start and annually, with an average of 16 hours spent.
Compliance with travel requirements is essential.
