Travel Nurse RN - Mother Baby - $2,275 per week in Salem, VA

Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Salem, Virginia

Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; Weekend days are Saturday/Sunday, weekend nights are Friday/Saturday; No on-call requirement for travel staff; Float within unit only

Highlights:

• Comprehensive maternity care unit featuring 9 LDR beds, 8 postpartum/GYN beds, 2 OR suites, and a 23-bed wellborn nursery
• Patient ratios: 3 couplets per nurse; Labor and Delivery 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, or epidural patients
• EMR systems: Centricity Perinatal and Meditech with Corometrics equipment
• Full-spectrum OB experience including labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum and newborn care, OB/ED triage, and inductions
• Collaborative team of 50+ staff members including couplet nurses, birth response nurses, L&D nurses, and scrub techs
• Scrubs provided; opportunity for additional shifts available

Requirements:

• Current OB nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
• Active Virginia nursing license or ability to obtain
• Cesarean section experience (circulator, first assist, or scrub) preferred
