Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, NRPS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Patient Ratio Experience: 4 Couplets Charting System Experience: Required Charting System Name: Epic Travel Experience: Required Description: Responsible for providing direct patient care to specific patient populations effectively using the nursing process. Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Continual Reassessment serve as the foundation for care delivery. Serves as a patient advocate. Effectively coordinates care and promotes safety and clinical/service quality in daily practice. BLS certification required. Night shift RN with 5x8 hour shifts from 15:00 to 23:30 per week. Work every other weekend. No on-call required. May float to labor and delivery to be a baby nurse. Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products, antihypertensives, and assistance with circumcision. Educate parents on breastfeeding, car seat safety, and discharge instructions. Manage care for neonates and postpartum patients. Experience with newborn assessments, hypoglycemia, and postpartum hemorrhage is required. Maintain central lines and administer IV antibiotics as necessary. Provide care for low birth weight infants and those with neonatal abstinence syndrome. Conduct pain assessments and management strategies. Proper use of phototherapy and other medical equipment is expected. Must comply with hospital safety protocols and guidelines. Candidates will complete work history verification for the past 7 years. Max RTO is 7 days per contract, with specific holiday coverage required. Training modules are to be completed as a part of compliance verification. Modules are non-billable and expected to be completed during the orientation phase.
