Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active NJ RN or compact license required Certifications: NRP CERT required, BLS Must-Have: Level 1 nursery and postpartum experience Description: Locals accepted within 75 miles of the facility. A minimum of 2 years of postpartum and level 1 nursery experience is required. Charge experience is preferred. Candidates must have experience with a charting system. The patient ratio during the day shift is 6:1. The facility has an interdisciplinary support team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates should be proficient in systematic EKG rhythm interpretation and heart rate calculations. RNs must be able to identify atrial, ventricular, junctional, paced rhythms, and heart blocks. Responsibilities include administration of medications, patient assessments, and discharge teaching. Knowledge of baby-friendly protocols and infant care is essential. Weekend coverage is mandatory every other weekend. Current vaccinations for COVID-19 and influenza are required. A supervisory or manager reference dated within the past year is needed. Candidates with previous permanent employment at the facility are not eligible for this position. Accurate employment history is necessary for the candidate's profile. Failure to complete required pre-employment lab work may lead to cancellation of the assignment.
