Travel Nurse RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - $1,990 per week in Englewood, CO

Job Title: Travel RN - NICU Profession: RN Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in NICU License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year current acute care Level III NICU hospital experience Description: This position is for a Travel Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The unit consists of 17 beds with a total of 21 staff members. On the day shift, there are 4 Clinical Nurse Coordinators and 7 Registered Nurses. On the night shift, there are 2 Clinical Nurse Coordinators and 6 Registered Nurses. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 3:1 depending on the needs of the patients. The unit utilizes Phillips monitors, Giraffe isolettes, Hamilton ventilators, RAM cannula, Baxter IV pumps, and Medfusion syringe pumps. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech and CPN. Candidates are expected to have strong critical thinking skills and be able to work autonomously. Teamwork and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team are essential. The unit emphasizes a family-like work environment where nurses take pride in providing exceptional care. Candidates with delivery experience or additional NICU/PICU experience will be preferred. Typical procedures performed in the unit include UAC and UVC insertion and intubation. The ideal candidate should be kindhearted, self-motivated, and a team player. Patient care experience is a priority.
