**Exciting Opportunity for RN in Neonatal ICU - Nights!**
**Job Description:**
- **Location:** Mercy Hospital Springfield, 1235 E Cherokee St, Springfield, MO 65804
- **Department:** Neonatal ICU 5F
- **Role:** Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- **Shift:** Nights, 3x12, 1900-0700
- **Weekly Guaranteed Hours:** 36
- **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks
- **Openings:** 1
- **Weekend Requirements:** As required by the facility, every other weekend
- **Call Requirements:** No call required
**Requirements:**
- **Licensure:** Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)
- **Certifications:**
- Required: BLS, NRP
- Preferred: TNCC, PALS
- **Experience:** At least 2 years of NICU experience, vent competent
- **Patient Care:** Flexible in working across NICU, PICU, or Postpartum based on patient volumes
**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 46
- **Patient Ratios:** Not guaranteed; NICU 1:3 based on acuity
- **Equipment:** No specific equipment required
- **EMR:** EPIC
**Qualifications:**
- **Must Have Skills/Experience:** Minimum 2 years in a NICU
- **Preferred Experience:** 2 years in a level 3 NICU or higher
- **Patient Population:** Premature infants, infants of diabetic mothers, those with respiratory distress, post-date infants
- **Personality Fit:** Positive attitude and flexibility are key!
**Dress Code:**
- **Scrub Color:** Black (may wear Mercy Kids scrub top with black scrub pants)
- **Unacceptable Attire:** Anything else
**Additional Information:**
- Night shift orientation available on the day shift
- Responsible for direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
- Adhere to nursing practice guidelines, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, and Mercy Service Standards
