Knowledge of drips: Fentanyl, Propofol, Precedex, Epi, Levo. Description: The position requires travel between two campuses. Assignments are posted 90-120 minutes prior to shift start. The facility includes 444 beds with a Level IV Perinatal Center and Level III NICU. It operates as a teaching hospital. The unit varies from 19-23 beds. Average daily patient census ranges from 15-18, depending on the unit. Candidate must be comfortable working with various patient types including respiratory issues, congenital heart disease, hematology/oncology, post-operative cases, and trauma. Experience in NICU with 61 beds focusing on premature infants, neuro issues, GI, and feeder/grower problems is necessary. PICU consists of 24 beds managing intubated patients, post-surgical cases, and respiratory failure. The general pediatrics unit covers patients from neonates to age 18, addressing general conditions, hematology, oncology, and post-surgery care. The ER accommodates 22 beds for neonates to age 18. PCICU is a cardiac intensive care unit with 16 beds for patients ranging from neonate to adult with specific cardiac conditions. Patient ratios are as follows: NICU 1:2, PICU 1:2, General Pediatrics 1:3-4, ER 1:3-4, and PCICU 1:2. Support within the department includes CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy services, and there is 24/7 availability of RT, hospitalists, and intensivists. Telemetry monitoring is available when needed. The department utilizes EMR and specific unit equipment. The role requires participation in a weekend rotation. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Approval of time-off requests will be managed by the departmental manager. Shift times are either 0700-1900 or 1900-0700. A scheduling cycle consists of a 6-week period.
