Description:
Seeking a qualified RN NICU Nurse for a Level III NICU.
The facility is equipped to handle high-risk and critically ill newborns.
The role involves providing respiratory support, including nasal cannula, CPAP, and conventional ventilation.
Experience with central lines such as PICC and UAC is required.
Nurses will manage IV therapy, maintenance fluids, sedation, and paralytics.
Patient ratios will range from 1:1 to 1:3, following staffing standards.
Candidates must demonstrate assessment and reassessment skills and collaboration with ancillary departments.
Knowledge of multi-system support measures for newborns is essential.
Support on the unit includes a 24/7 charge nurse, respiratory therapy, and neonatologists.
Charting is conducted using an electronic medical record system.
Travelers may float to other units as needed for newborn care.
Scheduling includes weekend rotation, with no guaranteed set schedules.
Holiday expectations will be determined based on start date.
Scrub color must be professional; no denim or camo is permitted.
