Key Responsibilities of the NICU Travel Nurse:
- Provide specialized care to critically ill or premature newborns in a Level III/IV NICU
- Monitor vital signs, ventilators, IVs, and incubators
- Administer medications and support interventions under NICU protocols
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate and support families through infant care and emotional challenges
- Accurately document care and follow all hospital safety and infection control policies
- Travel locally as needed to fulfill assignment requirements
Requirements of the NICU Travel Nurse:
- Active RN license in New York
- Minimum 3 years of recent NICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS ans NRP certifications required
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills
