Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week; every other weekend; potential 48-hour position availability; winter holiday requirement (work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)

Highlights:

• NICU-based float pool position serving a 56-bed Level III NICU within a Regional Perinatal Center caring for over 1,200 premature and ill newborns annually
• Float to NICU Level III, PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery with appropriate patient assignments based on skill set
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system at a 597-bed teaching hospital and major teaching affiliate
• Patient ratios vary based on unit, acuity, census, and staffing (typically 1:2)
• First-time travelers and local candidates welcome at competitive rates

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
• Minimum 1.5 years of documented NICU Level III and PICU experience in employment history
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line/implanted line care, UAC/UVC management
• Experience with IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
• Competency in dysrhythmia interpretation/management and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Knowledge of neonatal feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), NG/NJ tube placement and management, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Experience caring for neonates less than 24-28 weeks gestation
• At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Ability to float without exception to multiple pediatric units
