Location: Oxnard, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 3b NICU
• Attend high-risk deliveries and stabilize newborns
• Manage ventilators including Aveya, bubble CPAP, Vapotherm, and oscillator
• Administer IV drips and monitor complex medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and respiratory therapists
• Educate and support families through their NICU journey

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California or compact state
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience, level 3 preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Skills: Cerner EMR, attending deliveries, cooling experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of neonatal intensive care for all gestational ages
• Proficient in Cerner electronic medical records
• Experience with cooling protocols for neonatal encephalopathy
• Bilingual Spanish preferred for patient communication
• Ability to float to L&D and postpartum to care for newborns
