Contract (13 Weeks) | Alternating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Day Shift: 7:00–19:00 | Night Shift: 19:30–7:30
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patients including neonates, infants, and children across varying acuity levels with a ratio of 1:3, up to 1:4 for lower acuity groups
Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including prematurity, apnea of prematurity (AOP), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), bronchopulmonary/chronic lung disease, cardiac defects, feeding issues, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including tracheostomies, mechanical ventilators, PICCs, central lines, TPN, and intralipids
Float within specialty and sister units as needed
Adhere to required holiday scheduling as assigned
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, including hands-on experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Current CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online vendor)
Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
Comfort floating within scope to sister units with no restrictions
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
