Job Title

Registered Nurse – NICU / Pediatrics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Onsite | Alternating Days and Nights, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00 / 19:30–7:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patients including neonates, infants, and pediatric populations
  • Manage patients with diagnoses including prematurity, apnea of prematurity, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cardiac defects, feeding issues, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including tracheostomies, mechanical ventilators, PICCs, central lines, and TPN/IL infusions
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3, up to 1:4 with lower acuity patient groups
  • Float within specialty and sister units as needed
  • Adhere to required holiday and weekend scheduling as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Maryland or valid Compact License at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric or NICU nursing
  • Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy and mechanical ventilator management
  • Current BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Current CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version accepted)
  • Candidates must reside 50 or more miles from the facility address (locals under 50 miles are not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • ACLS certification (AHA only)
  • NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
  • Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
