Registered Nurse – NICU

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Level III/IV NICU setting, including management of complex neonatal cases
- Deliver care to patients in the BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) NICU unit, with an average patient length of stay of 2–3 years
- Perform frequent trach care and engage in heavy parent/family involvement as part of the care team
- Float to other units as needed, including PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, and medical-surgical; float to ED is extremely rare
- Float to other campuses as required, maintaining safe and appropriate patient care across multiple facilities
Required Qualifications- Active Ohio State RN License — must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of combined Level III/IV NICU experience required
- Must be willing and able to float to different units and campuses per facility expectations
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with tracheostomy care and management in a neonatal or pediatric population
- Familiarity with PICU, CV PICU, or stepdown environments is a plus
- Comfort working with long-term care patients and high levels of family engagement
