Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients ranging from 23 to 40+ weeks gestation in a 32-bed unit across two floors
- Manage and monitor patients on ventilators, oscillators, and Vapotherm with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
- Assist with and perform unit procedures including intubations, eye exam assistance, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions
- Document patient care accurately using Centricity Perinatal and Meditech EMR systems
- Float to Level II NICU and Newborn Nursery as needed
- Work 3–4 weekends per month as part of the standard schedule; no on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience
- Hands-on ventilator experience required
- Experience caring for neonates from 23 to 40+ weeks gestation
- Current CPR certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with oscillator ventilation
- Proficiency with CPN (Centricity Perinatal) charting
