Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to premature and medically complex neonates in a Level III NICU setting, managing patients across gestational ages from under 24 to over 34 weeks
Manage ventilatory support modalities including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and Vapotherm, as well as ETT/NT suctioning and chest tube management
Perform and assist with arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC, IV starts, blood product administration, IV vasopressors, and phlebotomy
Support neonatal nutrition through bottle, breast, and gavage feedings; manage OG/NG/NJ tubes; provide breastfeeding education and breast milk handling; perform APGAR scoring and developmental care
Conduct sepsis workups, NAS monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, hyperbilirubinemia assessment, phototherapy management, and maintain isolation precautions
Administer neonatal medications including surfactants, steroids, antibiotics/antivirals, and anti-seizure medications with accurate neonatal dosage calculations
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of NICU nursing experience
Active Pennsylvania Single State or Compact RN license required at time of submission
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
PA Fingerprints required prior to start
Must be available to complete all pre-start compliance requirements before the scheduled start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a Level III NICU environment with high-acuity neonatal patient populations
Familiarity with meconium aspiration, RDS, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
