Registered Nurse – Newborn Nursery / Transition Nursery

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | No Call Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to newborn and transitional nursery patients with a 1:3 patient ratio (1:1 for Vapotherm patients)
- Perform Apgar and Ballard assessments on newborns
- Administer medications and manage Vapotherm therapy as indicated
- Operate and monitor unit equipment including panda warmers, cribs, NRP equipment, and hospital-grade breast pumps
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Minimum 1 year of Newborn Nursery or related nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- STABLE Program certification
- Experience with Vapotherm therapy in a newborn or neonatal setting
- Familiarity with Meditech/CPN electronic medical records
