    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – NICU

    Location

    Fargo, ND | Level IV NICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a verified Level IV NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, care planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation
    • Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, and patient admissions
    • Administer oral and IV medications, manage umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, OG/NG feedings, and G-tubes
    • Operate specialized equipment including conventional and high-frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion/Smart pumps, and Spacelabs monitors
    • Maintain accurate charting using Epic (OneChart) and administer medications via MAK and Accudose systems
    • Float to PICU and Pediatrics units as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience, with Level IV NICU experience required
    • Active ND RN license or active Compact RN license (must be willing to obtain ND licensure)
    • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) — required
    • Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification — required
    • Ability to administer medications through a PICC line
    • Willingness and ability to float to PICU and Pediatrics; relevant skills checklists must be provided
    • Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Epic (OneChart) electronic health records system
    • Familiarity with high-frequency ventilators, nitric oxide therapy, and cool cap therapy
    • Experience with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:2 for critical/intermediate neonates and up to 3:1 for growing and feeding infants
