    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care to a designated group of patients within the Maternal Child Health department, addressing physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
    • Assess patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex, recognizing normal parameters and deviations in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status.
    • Develop person-centered care plans, prioritizing nursing care to meet patient and family needs, including involvement of patients and families in establishing care goals.
    • Demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, prioritizing planned and unplanned events, and proactively addressing potential and actual problems.
    • Implement technical skills required for patient and family care while maintaining current knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and standards, serving as a resource to peers.
    • Facilitate collaboration across the healthcare team, linking patients and families with other disciplines and services as needed.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
    • Postpartum nursing experience required; must be able to independently care for mother/baby couplets.
    • Experience in NICU nursing.
    • Ability to practice within the scope of governing bodies applicable to Maternal Child Health (AWHONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN).
    • Strong critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a Maternal Child Health setting.
    • Demonstrated ability to function as a resource and mentor to nursing peers.
