Travel Nurse RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Los Angeles, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU setting with an average census of 10 and a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation
• Support high-risk delivery cases as part of the neonatal care team
• Complete 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Friday/Saturday)
• Float to other units as needed and accept on-call placement when census does not require scheduled shift coverage
• Adhere to facility scrub color policy (Royal Blue)

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2–3 years of NICU experience; Level III or IV experience strongly preferred, with high-risk delivery and ventilator experience required
• EPIC EMR proficiency required
• AHA BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
• Must be willing to float and accept on-call assignments as needed
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (onsite; 80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted)
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of NICU experience in a Level III or IV setting
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers also considered)
• Strong clinical skill set with demonstrated competency in neonatal ventilator management and high-risk deliveries
