Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, providing nursing care for health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Interact with patients and families to communicate the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge, including referrals to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Oklahoma RN license or current multistate compact RN license.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- NRP certification (American Heart Association).
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
