Key Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and compassionate nursing care.
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders.
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
- Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Interacts with patients and families to communicate the care plan during hospitalization and at time of discharge.
- Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Oklahoma RN license or current multistate compact RN license.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- NRP certification (American Heart Association).
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
