Job Title

Registered Nurse – NICU

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Level 3b NICU setting, managing a patient population that includes all gestational ages, premature infants, sepsis, neonatal abstinence syndrome/substance withdrawal, and infants requiring therapeutic cooling
  • Operate and monitor advanced respiratory equipment including Aveya ventilators, bubble CPAP, Vapotherm, and oscillators; collaborate with 24/7 Respiratory Therapy support
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 for critical patients or up to 1:3 for feeder/grower patients
  • Float as needed to Labor & Delivery or Postpartum units to provide care for newborns
  • Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR and Phillips monitoring equipment
  • Participate in rotating weekend coverage (every other weekend) and integrate into holiday scheduling alongside permanent staff
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of NICU experience, specifically at a Level 3 NICU or higher
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
  • Experience managing drips and advanced neonatal ventilator support (Aveya, bubble CPAP, Vapotherm, oscillator)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Experience attending deliveries
  • Experience with therapeutic cooling protocols
  • Spanish-speaking ability
