Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (0700–1930) | 3×12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to sick neonates in a Level III NICU setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 (may be tripled in low-acuity cases)
Operate and monitor conventional ventilators, high-frequency jet ventilators, high-frequency oscillators, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide delivery systems
Manage all aspects of NICU care, excluding surgical and cardiac cases, across a 41-bed unit with single, double, and triple room configurations
Float to the Well Baby Nursery as needed
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality neonatal outcomes
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Current BLS certification
Demonstrated competency in caring for sick neonates
Preferred Experience / Skills
Weekend availability preferred, though not required
Prior travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
