Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for late preterm infants (35 weeks and beyond) and newborns with health complications in a Level 1B NICU/Continuing Care Nursery setting
• Monitor and manage infants requiring respiratory support, including High Flow Nasal Cannula (NC) and oxygen therapy
• Implement ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) protocols for infants exposed to opioids in utero
• Manage blood sugar stabilization and care for infants with Transient Tachypnea (TTN)
• Operate and monitor specialized NICU equipment including cardiopulmonary monitors, radiant warming units, isolettes, IV infusion pumps, and LED phototherapy lights
• Maintain a patient care ratio of 3:1 within a 4-bed unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current NICU experience at a Level 1B or higher
• Active Massachusetts RN License
• Active BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Demonstrated experience with ESC protocol, TTN management, blood sugar stabilization, respiratory support, and High Flow Nasal Cannula
• Current NICU Skills Checklist (within the past year) and one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required at submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU or continuing care nursery environment
