    Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

    Location

    Reno, Nevada

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide optimal patient care to neonatal patients utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process
    • Perform comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of neonatal patients and their families/caregivers
    • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating cognitive and psychosocial competency specific to the neonatal population
    • Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed throughout the episode of care
    • Float to other areas of the organization as needed, up to competency level, based on departmental needs
    • Maintain accountability for individualized patient outcomes, exercising sound clinical judgment and decision-making throughout each shift
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada RN license prior to start
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
    • Minimum of 3 years of exclusive NICU experience in a Level III NICU or higher
    • Ventilator training required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in a high-acuity, Level III or Level IV NICU environment
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to variable scheduling including weekends, holidays, and call shifts
