Contract (8 weeks, with possible extension) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting, primarily caring for infants 33 weeks gestational age and above
- Float as needed to the Postpartum unit to provide newborn (baby) care
- Assist with baby catch in the operating room during C-section cases
- Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage as required by unit scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC charting — required
- Ability to float to Postpartum/Women's Health as needed
- Ability to assist with newborn care in the OR during C-section deliveries
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
- Background in Women's Health or Mother-Baby nursing in addition to NICU experience
