Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) during assigned shifts
- Perform care planning, medication administration, and monitor physiological changes in neonates
- Address psychosocial needs of neonates and provide education and training to patients and their families
- Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
- Cross-train and float to the Pediatrics unit as needed
Required Qualifications- Associate Degree (A.S.) in Nursing or equivalent required
- Minimum two years of NICU experience required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA or ARC) from an approved vendor required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ARC-NALS certification from an approved vendor required
- Current Epic EMR experience required; candidates must also have Cerner experience within the last 5 years
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous neonatal transport experience preferred
- Previous experience attending deliveries for neonatal resuscitation purposes preferred
- RNC or CCRN certification preferred
