Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM start) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Community Level 3 NICU with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity
Care for neonatal patients including rule-out sepsis, premature and late preterm infants, IDDM of gestational diabetes, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
Manage and monitor patients on ventilators in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems for documentation and patient monitoring
Participate in holiday rotations integrated with the core staff schedule
Support patient transitions including discharge to home or transfer to pediatrics from the locked NICU unit
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Experience working in a NICU setting
Ability to work night shifts including every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
Prior experience caring for ventilator-dependent neonatal patients
Charge Nurse experience in a NICU or similar acute care setting
