Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | No Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Transport critically ill infants and pediatric patients via ground transportation from surrounding hospitals, emergency rooms, and Labor & Delivery/NICU settings to a higher level of care facility
- Collaborate with a transport team consisting of a Respiratory Therapist and an Advanced Practice Provider during all transport assignments
- Provide expert clinical assessment and intervention for neonatal and pediatric patients throughout the transport process
- Float as needed to serve as a bedside nurse in NICU, PICU, or general Pediatrics units to support staffing coverage
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; active compact license accepted
- Demonstrated experience in ground critical care transport
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience in a NICU, PICU, or Pediatrics setting
- Prior experience working in a neonatal or pediatric critical care environment
