Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Level IV NICU setting with patient ratios of 1:1 and 2:1
- Manage high-acuity neonatal patients including surgical neonates, ventilated patients, and those requiring cooling protocols
- Monitor and manage fluid balance, fresh trachs, and various modes of ventilation
- Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient condition
- Float to other ICU environments (PICU, CICU, acute care floors) within scope as needed to meet facility needs
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience; first-time travelers must have 3–4 years in a Level IV NICU or have completed 1–2 Level IV travel assignments
- Experience in a true Level IV NICU with high-acuity patients, including surgical neonates
- Vent experience and telemetry experience required
- Comfort with fluid management, fresh trachs, cooling protocols, and multiple modes of ventilation
- Active Washington State RN License (permanent, temporary, or in process of applying); Compact RN license accepted
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience floating to PICU, CICU, or acute care environments is highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments strongly preferred
- Experience with EPIC charting system
