Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting, maintaining patient ratios of 3:1 for feeder growers and 1:1 for vented patients
Assist NNPs with procedures including umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture, and circumcision
Operate and monitor specialized neonatal equipment including Giraffe Omnibeds and STAR GE resuscitation systems
Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
Collaborate with an on-site NNP and on-call Neonatologist as part of a core night shift team
Participate in infant resuscitation and stabilization as required by facility standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of current NICU RN acute care experience
Level 2 NICU experience required
Infant resuscitation experience required
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Preferred Experience / Skills
Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience
Experience with Eat Sleep Console (ESC) protocol for babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
Delivery room admission and initial stabilization experience
