Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Neuroscience Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year inpatient acute care License: Required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS Must-Have: Willingness for occasional charge role is required Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in a Neurosurgical unit. The unit focuses on the care of patients with stroke, seizures, multiple sclerosis, back/head/spinal issues, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Expected to work every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) unless otherwise approved. Candidates should be prepared to work at least one major winter holiday. Preferred skills include charge experience, though not required. Personality fit includes being a team player and patient-focused. Dress code requires wearing scrubs in specified colors.
