Travel Nurse RN - Neuro - $1,917 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: EKG Testing must be passed before start for this specialty. Neuro experience preferred. Description: The registered nurse will provide care to patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures and with neuro diagnoses. Patient ratios during shifts will be 1:5-6. All contract staff may be assigned to a storm or hurricane team. Reporting to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters may be expected. Flexibility in scheduling is available for weekend shifts, with a requirement of 12-16 weekend shifts per contract. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Nurses will utilize charting systems and medication management tools effectively. Responsibilities include pre and post-operative care for neurosurgery patients, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. Staff may be required to float to different units as needed. Candidates should possess skills in interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of IV protocols, and care of surgical drains.
