Travel Nurse RN - Neuro - $1,998 per week in Lexington, KY

Job Title: RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Required certifications include BLS Description: Unit has 22 beds. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:5 or 1:6. Common diagnoses include acute stroke and neuro population patients, as well as general medical floor cases. Registered Nurses are not required to titrate drips. There is a charge nurse on each shift, who also takes an assignment. Nurse aides or patient care technicians are available on this unit, with varying ratios. Registered Nurses are expected to troubleshoot equipment such as BiPap and High Flow devices, while respiratory therapists will manage them. Centralized telemetry is utilized, and Registered Nurses are required to review telemetry strips each shift. Self-scheduling is permitted, but schedules may change to ensure balance. Weekend requirement consists of six weekend shifts within a six-week period. Holiday requirement includes two summer holidays and three winter holidays. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating may be required, with possible assignments to other floors. Dress code is Galaxy Blue scrubs. Unit-specific orientation consists of 1-2 shifts. Cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment. Charting system used is EPIC.
