Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active state RN license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - IV therapy skills - Medication administration experience - Wound care knowledge Description: Please review submittal instructions and provide answers upon submission. Position is for a Med Surg Neuro RN. Shift is 3x12s nights from 18:00 to 06:30. Average daily census is 32 patients. Candidates will work every other weekend. On-call is not required. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Block schedule accommodations can be discussed with management. Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions. RTO restrictions should ideally not exceed 5 days. Guaranteed hours may be called off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment. Overtime rules apply if more hours are canceled than permitted. Special requirements include Med/Surg and telemetry experience. Required skills include colostomy care, feeding tube management, and IV therapy. Candidates should have experience with neurological conditions, pre/post surgeries, and trauma. Cerner experience is required. Continuous bladder irrigation experience is also required. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Trauma level II experience is a plus. Daily census includes adults and geriatrics. The unit will provide interdisciplinary support. Candidates must be committed to completing compliance needs in a timely manner. All travelers must float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as required. Candidates must have references available for submission. The first day of the assignment is a virtual at-home day. Candidates must check for additional modules on this day.
