Travel Nurse RN - Neuro - $2,845 per week in Chattanooga, TN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Client Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience in neurological care. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry and Client care. The unit has a total of 32 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during the day shift and 1:6 during the night shift. Licensed Practical Nurses are utilized during the night shift. There is a charge nurse on every shift who takes an assignment. Nurse aides or patient care technicians assist with patient care. Staffing includes a ratio of 12-15 patients per patient care technician. Duties of the technicians include taking vitals, bathing, blood glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, and assisting with activities of daily living. Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available. Weekend work is required every other weekend or less. Holiday coverage is assigned on a rotation basis. Floating is required for staff, and travelers may be on call as needed. Nurses are required to have Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications. Experience in neurological care is essential. Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem. The unit primarily cares for patients with cardiac and neurological conditions, including strokes and seizures. Respiratory therapy equipment includes High Flow and BiPAP devices used for less than 24 hours. Registered Nurses are responsible for troubleshooting these devices. Telemetry monitoring is managed virtually, with nurses responsible for reading their cardiac strips each shift. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
