Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $1,696 per week in Tyler, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Must hold a valid state or compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Neuro experience required - Travel experience preferred - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 2 Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU. Shift is 3x12 hour nights from 19:00 to 07:00. Two years of experience is preferred. Travel experience is preferred. Must have current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Experience in caring for ventilated patients and blood product administration is required. Familiarity with central line care and management is necessary. Knowledge in CVA/acute stroke management and external ventricular drains is essential. Experience with hypothermia protocols and intracranial pressure monitoring is required. Candidates should be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage spinal cord injuries. Experience in post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management is needed. Duties may include floating to ICU, IMC, or telemetry units as needed. The unit provides care for adults with a daily census of 14 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses will vary and special procedures will be conducted within the unit. Compliance with onboarding and training requirements is expected. All requested time off must be provided at the time of application.
