Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) professional located in the designated area. The role involves providing specialized critical care to neurological patients, with a focus on maintaining stability and monitoring vital neurological functions. The position requires adherence to unit protocols and collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure as a registered nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience in neurological intensive care, ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday, and may be required to float to a neuro intermediate care unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse), SCRN (Stroke Certified Registered Nurse), or CNRN (The American Board of Specialty Nursing certification in neurological nursing) certifications are preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Beds: 18
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 (may flex based on patient acuity)
  • EMR system: Epic
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue Pants and Solid Navy-Blue tops or Solid white (Jackets: Solid Navy Blue or Solid white)
  • Floor orientation: Two initial shifts, with additional as needed.
  • Enable Skills-Based Hiring and no cancellation penalties beyond the specified policy.
  • Shift expectations are from 7P to 7A.
  • On-call: Not applicable.
  • Holiday expectations: One major and one minor holiday.
  • The winter plan is in effect, and the facility can cancel up to 2 shifts per 12 weeks or 3 shifts per 13 weeks without penalty.
