Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $2,113 per week in Salem, VA

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS preferred but not required Must-Have: - Experience with Vents, A-Line, TVP, Central Lines - Knowledge of Neuro Devices such as EVD, Lumbar Drain, ICP Monitoring Description: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse in a Neuro Trauma ICU setting. The unit has 12 beds and a patient ratio of 1:2. Staffing includes 1 full-time paramedic and all RNs. The unit is equipped with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, Belmont rapid infuser, Bair Hugger, and Bucks traction. Documentation is done using Expanse Meditech. Scheduling requires flexibility for holidays and weekends. Floating policy includes Med-Surg, PCU, ED, and Rehab, capped at a 4:1 ratio. Bedside shift handoff and whiteboards are part of patient experience requirements. Advanced skills required include assisting with procedures such as EVD/Bolt placement, lumbar puncture, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, rapid sequence intubation, bronchoscopy, percutaneous trach insertion, and chest tube insertion.
