Travel Nurse RN - Neuro ICU - $2,155 per week in Charlotte, NC

Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. Ratios typically 2:1, may flex to 3:1 during high census. Contract lengths from 13 weeks up to February 27, 2027.

Highlights:

• Work in a comprehensive stroke center specializing in complex neurological conditions
• Patient population includes stroke (ischemic and hemorrhagic), SDH, craniotomies, carotid procedures, aneurysm management, seizures, and myasthenia gravis
• Experience with specialized equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, and Arctic Sun
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, PT, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
• 13-bed unit with average daily census of 11-12 patients; no call requirement
• 24 hours of paid orientation over 2 shifts

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required (strong neuro critical care background essential)
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Core competencies: ventilator management, IV starts, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, EVD and lumbar drain experience, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, and isolation precautions
• Willingness to float within facility as needed
• Must be comfortable with 3:1 ratios during high census periods
